StoryCollab, Ballad Health, and Appalachian Highlands Center for Nursing Advancement: Nurse Narratives 90-Minute Story Sessions registration

Take Time for You:

Join your colleagues in a Nurse Narratives 90-Minute Story Session

We thank you deeply for your dedication to the patients you serve. We know it’s not an easy job and sometimes can feel thankless. We see you and all that you bring to Ballad Health and our communities. Now we want to provide an opportunity just for you to reflect on, process, and learn from your experiences—the struggles and the triumphs.

Ballad Health has partnered with StoryCollab and the Appalachian Highlands Center for Nursing Advancement to offer a series of 90- minute Story Sessions to provide a supportive space for you to:

  • gather with your peers,
  • do some personal writing,
  • share your stories if you wish,
  • learn from each other.

Participation in a facilitated first-person storytelling and listening session can help you reflect on your own experiences with the support of your peers. Workshops like these can build on your existing strategies for navigating the complexities of patient care.

You are invited to register to attend a 90-minute session to write and share stories of personal struggles, moments of resilience or positive impact, and cultivate virtual community. Each session will include a short writing prompt and time to reflect on those stories with yourself and other nurses.

These stories are entirely your own, and there is no intention to share them outside of the session, but we will offer an opportunity for those who wish to share their written stories at an online open mic session with nurses from across the Ballad Health system at a later date.

  • Dates: the second and fourth MONDAYS of each month from August - February
  • Time: 9:00 - 10:30 am
  • Participants will receive a $100 appreciation stipend.
SPACES for each session are limited to 20 participants.

If you register, and then find you will not be able to attend, please let us know.
